Ellary & Austin were wed at the New Haven Lawn Club in New Haven, CT.

Ellary is the daughter of our favorite flower farmer Janet from Backyard Blooms in Trumbull, CT. She and Austin both grew up in the same town but didn’t know each other til much later. Janet met Austin’s mom while they worked together a gym and became fast friends. Ellary and Austin share a love of travel, photography and hiking.
Ellary really wanted to focus on a cool toned berry palette of purples, blues, and pinks.

The New Haven Lawn Club is a little vintage oasis tucked in the city of New Haven. The architecture of the Georgian mansion transports you back to a more glamorous era with spiraling staircases, epic fireplaces, and special nooks and details everywhere.
My favorite element was the ceremony fireplace. If you’ve been to California, you know bougainvillea is everywhere and the hues were perfect to incorporate in a dramatic fireplace element.

The couple chose vintage postcards for their table markers as a nod to their favorite vacation spots. At the time of the wedding they called San Francisco home so it was important to incorporate lots of California vibes into the wedding too.

We added touches of fresh fruit to the reception tables including dragon fruit, plums, and grapes to add to the summer harvest vibes

Ellary’s mom Janet and I spent time many months before the wedding selecting the varieties and colors of flowers she would grow just for the wedding day. It was such a unique way of designing.
