Amanda and Dan met during the pandemic at church.

Stonehurst is a little haven tucked away in a rural corner of Connecticut. The ceremony spot was so peaceful and serene while our team was setting up. We were even joined a few times by some passing hikers who stopped to admire the flowers and wish us luck. The mansion offers a nice cool indoor space for guests to enjoy after a steamy September afternoon.

The couple chose a rustic, soft palette of blush and sage green with pops of navy blue. The colors worked so nicely with the early fall light especially the cafe au lait dahlias we used in Amanda’s bouquet.

The unique ceremony structure at Stonehurst can be overwhelming in pictures so we were challenged with creating a floral moment that would distract from the massive triangular front. We achieved this with larger scale blooms like dahlias and colors that popped and drew your attention.

Amanda and Dan got introduced to us through the wedding app Zola. They loved our natural, organic style and willingness to travel to the more remote corners of Hampton, CT where Stonehurst is located.

I love when we get to incorporate some natural blues into the design and these navy blue thistle gave the bouquets great late summer texture.
