Lauren and Mike had a unique 2-day celebration that started with a ceremony and intimate family dinner at the cozy White Hart Inn. The following day, they moved onto a big reception celebration with dinner and dancing at the Litchfield.

Lauren chose a white modern mermaid style silk gown before switching to a fun mini dress for the reception. Her maid of honor wore a champagne silk gown. Mike opted for a dark green suit with ivory paisley tie.

The palette focused on crisp bright whites and deep dark green to embrace the mid-winter vibe.

We were tasked with trying to subtly cover up a modern art piece that hangs over the fireplace at the White Hart Inn. The couple weren’t fans of the piece and wanted to downplay it in their photos. We created an overgrown wall of vines, candles, and floral accents that subtly disappeared the art and kept the focus on the couple exchanging vows.

Working with weddings in the winter months is such a treasure because we can use elements not available to our couples during the rest of the year. We were able to utilize things like snowberry, ginestra, and amaryllis to really give their flowers a seasonal winter feel.
