Kate & Robbie were wed at the beautiful Eolia Mansion in Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford, CT.

Kate loves green and her bridesmaids wore a pretty shade of eucalyptus giving her plenty of room to explore a more colorful floral palette. We made a late-in-the game shift to incorporate more shades of light yellow, peach and blush.
A delightful breeze blows off the shore and through the big windows in the dining room making it a perfect spot to cool off on a hot summer day. Unfortunately, this also makes our job keeping the candles lit a little more tricky!

August in the Harkness Garden is an explosion of color and life. There are always onlookers at summer events at this venue as the park is a favorite place to explore for visitors. We love chatting with passersby who ask about the wedding and the flowers. People who come to the gardens are always flower lovers.

Kate’s sister gave me a tiny glass pig figurine and asked that I tuck it into the bride's bouquet. She said it was a family tradition to give out “prosperity pigs” to bring the couple a prosperous future. It was ok if it fell out and would bring the next person who found it good luck too. This is something that I’ve started to do with our own Fountainhead couples and it was such as simple special gift.
