Earthy, Spring Wedding in Guilford, CT - Ashley & Alexander

Ashley and Alex were wedding at a private residence in Guilford, CT.

Ashley and Alex are both dog lovers who met online.

On our first interaction with Ashley and Alex, they described the vibe of the wedding as “dark academia meets boho”. Think leather bound books, rich colors mixed with soft neutrals. The outdoor setting and tent pushed us into a moodier spring with some airy wildflower elements.

The best way to describe this wedding was SOGGY. Despite the forecast, it rained from the moment we started set-up until the evening was well over. There was still an optimism in the air as the couple were determined to have an outside ceremony. Their water-logged vows made for a really memorable experience for everyone involved and some very romantic photos.

We utilized fresh fruit in the table designs including bosc pears, grapefruits, and peaches. It added a dutch masters, old painting type vibe to the tables.

The couple originally had plans to marry at a remote Manor venue, but due to creative disagreements with the owners, they had to pivot and decided on a tent wedding in their backyard.

Ashley and Alex were referred to us by their planner Devon from AllSettUp. We love working with Devon and her team and this day was no exception.
