Brittany and Eric met in NYC and picked up their lives to live and work in Colorado. They love the outdoors, especially hiking but chose to return back to the East Coast to reunited with their families and get married in CT.

This was a very windy, crisp November day but really picture perfect for fall. The ceremony spot was in a sunken garden area that created a bit of a wind tunnel but you would never know from these beautiful photos!

The Heritage Hotel is a special little getaway spot nestled in the quaint town of Southbury, CT. For anyone that’s a Gilmore Girls fan, it has that same quintessential Connecticut feel as Starrs Hollow with cute shops and historic homes. The venue has ample grounds and amenities which makes it fun for guests to stay onsite and celebrate the wedding all weekend long.

Brittany chose silky champagne bridesmaids dresses for a modern twist on classic fall colors. We loved the brides diamond sneakers as a comfy choice to dance the night away.

The couple wanted a muter fall palette of sand, terracotta, and rust. We worked with local materials including grasses, amaranthus, leaves, and lots of fresh dahlias.

The ceremony site required us to look at things from many angles. The guests were seated below the arch with the ceremony taking place on a stage-like patio. We also had to consider the aerial view, as the photographers were posted up on the balconies surrounding. We think the asymmetrical design on the arch as well as the billowy chiffon fabric looked perfect from every angle.
