A Winter Glow Wedding at The Stanwich Club | Stephanie & Jared

Stephanie and Jared met through friends and decided to marry after 4 years together. Stephanie is an ER nurse and Jared works in sales.

Stephanie’s father is a PGA Pro and golf instructor which made the beautiful Stanwich Club their family’s first choice. Chilly December temps meant an indoor ceremony and the Club offers a nice tented terrace with natural light that the couple loved.

The bride wore an off-the-shoulder beaded ballgown, accompanied by her bridesmaids in shades of steely blue and grey and maid of honor is silver sparkles. They stayed nice and warm with silver fur wraps.

Stephanie insisted on lots of babies breath in the design as a nod to her love of snow.

Lighting the aisle candles at the ceremony and seeing the finished arch piece was a really special moment. The evergreens, the cozy fireplace, really had me feeling in the holiday spirit. Not all couples put a lot of time and attention into their ceremony decor so when they do we try to make it really special.

It’s not very often we get to do a December wedding so I wanted to use some of my favorite cold-weather flowers such as hellebore, tulips, peonies, and astrantia.
