A Soft Spring Wedding with Industrial Charm in Beacon | Erica & Andreas

Erica and Andreas

Erica and Andreas live in New York City with their dog and cat. After 8 ½ years together they decided to make it official with a wedding just north of the city in Beacon, NY.

The couple turned their love of Lego into a truly unique escort card table. Every single guest at the wedding and personalized mini fig accompanying their table number.

The Beacon Falls were roaring on the day of the wedding which (in addition to some chilly temps) led the couple to decide on an inside ceremony.

Erica was a little nervous originally about her ideas for the color palette. She didn’t want the design to come across too pastel or “eastery” for the industrial feel of the venue. We opted for very subtle moments of color and lots of interesting architectural blooms to soften the hard edges of the space and bring some spring life to the event.

I loved creating these ultra light, delicate sweet pea bouquets for the bridesmaids. Sweet peas are so special and their fragrance is amazing.

Spring flowers really shine when they are used with a pin frog in a japanese style ikebana arrangement. The graceful stems of daffodil, tulips, and ranunculus were the stars of the show in their centerpiece arrangements. I love using flowers this way because it’s such a big impact with very little blooms.

The flowers and décor from Fountainhead Floral Design brought our wedding to life literally and figuratively! We did not have a strong or clear vision for our florals but Katie took our jumbled ideas and created something we couldn't even envision. We wanted the flowers to be a part of the day but not overwhelming - she totally got our ideas! She brought us great suggestions and made our florals unique and dynamic. The flowers were so fresh and beautiful. We can't thank you enough!
