Mikayla and Kris met in college through friends. After years of long distance they reunited in Virginia and then returned home to New York to celebrate their wedding.

It was a misty overcast day but very cozy inside the Garrison! I hate when brides have to use an umbrella (especially with Mikayla’s gorgeous curls!) but these photos of them outside came out so cute.

Their faith is extremely important to them and the couple’s family had a beautiful cross built for their ceremony. It was such a unique piece and being able to create a cascading flower piece for it was such a delight.

The bride wanted to use a very traditional combination of roses and babies breath, but elevate it. It was fun for me to create her bouquet and give this classic combo some organic shape and movement instead of the usual round ball. The wispy jasmine vines were my favorite!
