Caitlin and J.P are sports lovers and met at work in 2015. They’ve lived all over the East Coast but now call the Jersey Shore home.

This wedding was a bit chaotic as there were thunderstorms around and an active tornado warning in place right at the ceremony time. Luckily, Caitlin and JPs ceremony pieces were easy to pick-up and shelter under an overhang but we ended up having to do the set-up 3 times! The couple were able to have their outdoor ceremony (albeit a little soggy) but everyone was so happy to see them married, a little rain didn’t spoil a thing.

Saybrook Point Resort is a great place to host a coastal CT wedding because it provides luxury accommodations and waterfront wedding views.

Caitlin wore a chic strapless satin scarf gown and let her bridesmaids choose their dresses in shades of buttery yellow, sage, and soft blue.

We don’t often get to work with yellow for weddings so when Caitlin said she wanted to include it in the palette we were so excited! The combo of soft yellow, lime, and pale blue was so fresh and unique it complemented the coastal setting perfectly.

Caitlin could have opted for a bouquet that matched the color palette but instead she chose an ultra chic bundle of white carnations. It was bold yet understated and so fabulous.

We added some water hyacinth baskets to the back of the ceremony aisle for some texture. They were a great way to display even more of the airy flowers and greens used throughout the wedding such as queen anne’s lace, sweet peas, chamomile, and plumosa fern.
